Richelle Dolan Therapist

Welcome. You have taken the hardest step, recognizing when you might need some assistance in learning to navigate what you’re going through. Whether it’s grief around losing a loved one, a relationship, a pet, a job, or an inability to process intense emotions and thoughts after witnessing or experiencing a highly distressing event. At times, the demands of taking care of others can leave us feeling emotionally, mentally and physically fatigued even though caring for a loved one can be very gratifying. For others the world can seem like an unfriendly place, acting as a constant intrusion on their senses, setting and enforcing rigid expectations, while only recognizing certain behaviors as acceptable. Being different is challenging on so many levels.

Often, we are limited by self-doubt, believing that it is a sign of weakness to look for help during difficult times or when life is too much. It is common for people to suffer in silence, experiencing shame and guilt around their challenging experiences, thoughts, and emotions as they continue to disrupt their ability to function. We all have times in our lives when we need assistance, no one is exempt.

You are here, actively choosing to push beyond your boundaries, to change. My hope for you is that I can be a person that you trust and feel safe with. As we collaborate to develop new strategies and gain insight into your challenges, we can lay the groundwork for lasting personal growth.

Do my words feel familiar? I’m available if you would like to share a bit of yourself with me.

OR…still not sure what therapist is a good fit for you?
